The Passeier Valley awaits you with two renowned mountain passes: Timmelsjoch and Jaufenpass. Drive up to panoramic heights by car or with your motorbike. The sporty can try to conquer the pass roads on a bike. When driving up the pass roads, but especially once you arrive to the top, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain landscape. The Timmelsjoch connects the Passeier Valley in South Tyrol with the Ötztal Valley in North Tyrol, and is the highest, glacier-fee border crossing in the region. The high-alpine Timmelsjoch road is accessible from the start of June to the end of October from 7 am to 8 pm. The Jaufenpass is the most northern mountain pass in Italy and connects the Passeier Valley with the Eisack Valley. The varied, 31 km long pass road with 20 turns will amaze you with breath-taking views.
